How to fix a floor perforation

It’s not important how good and perfect you are while doing an Endotontic treatment... sooner or later, you’ll have to face a iatrogenic error.
It could be a mistake you did, it could be a mistake someone else did.. but anyway you have to find way for solving and fixing it. Typical iatrogenic damage is a  floor perforation. It can happen during access cavity preparation, during scouting calcifying canals or it would be already present in case of complex retreatment. The most important thing is understanding when and if the perforation is repairable, but also how and what materials must be used.

  • Understand how to fix a floor perforation
  • Understand how to prepare MTA
  • Understand how to deliver MTA

from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM

How to perform an apical Plug

MTA has been identified as the gold standard bioactive material used for sealing and filling permanently an open and wide apex. But how to do this procedure in a predictable way? How to deal with irregular anatomies? How to avoid short apical plug, material extrusion and failures? During this workshop will be shown step by step how and when perform an apical plug in a predictable way.

  • Understand how to place MTA in the apical region
  • How to use Map System
  • How to deal with irregular anatomies

Heat treated NiTi rotary files have shown improved properties compared to non-heat treated NiTi rotary files. They can also be used in more challenging cases, give a better canal shape and have a slightly different feel when using them. This presentation will discuss the advantages and how best to use heat treated NiTi rotary files during endodontic treatment. It will also show cyclic fatigue, bending and torsional tests comparing heat treated to non-heated treated NiTi rotary files.

  • We will discover 2 rotary shaping systems (Blue Shaper and Slim Shaper).
  • We will train how we must shape today :
    • with minimal canal transportation
    • Reducing cyclic fatige
    • Maintening pericervical dentine.
    • Reducing bacteria in the canal.
  • We will learn how new irrigation plastic needles (Irriflex) help to do a better irrigation procedure…even with a minimal access.
  • We will discover how we use Bioceramics (Neo Sealer Flo) to do a better 3D obturation, with warm vertical compaction and single cone.
