The primary goal of the endodontic treatment is to perform a proper shaping and cleaning of the root canal system in order to achieve a successful outcome. Narrow and calcified canals present a unique challenge in endodontic therapy often complicating and presenting difficulties to the clinician to clean , shape and fill effectively the root canal system.
Such narrow and calcified canals are often seen in Lower molars, and treating such teeth requires precision and patience. However, with the right techniques, strategies and tools managing teeth with intricate anatomy and narrow and calcified canals can lead to successful outcomes.
Fanta has introduced into the market a new sequence of files, called HARMONY, aiming to simplify the endodontic management of narrow, calcified and curved canals.

Tooth #46
Diagnosis of Pulp Necrosis and symptomatic Apical periodontitis was established for the first mandibular molar on a 35 years old patient with clear medical history.
The pre-op radiograph indicated a a challenging anatomy on the mesial root with long and narrow canals that required extra attention and care to negotiate them.

After removing the existing composite restoration and establishing a correct access into pulp chamber, all canals were identified and WL was determined.

Conclusions
The new sequence of files from Fanta, Harmony, appears to be effective in dealing with narrow and calcified canals resulting in a successful outcome while respecting and maintaining the original anatomy of the canals.
