PREXO: The perfect plugger for apical third compaction.

During apical third compaction while using warm vertical obturation techniques , we need a smart plugger with perfect size to fit the small area apically without touching the root walls and perform efficient vertical compaction for the apical gutta-percha plug ,Thanks to the round and smooth edges of PREXO plugger that allow us to do this step in a perfect way .

PREXO is a plugger included inside the SMART ENDO KIT by deppeler and style Italiano endodontics . The plugger has two different ends on each side . The red side has a drop shape end with rounded angles and reveres taper which allows the clinician to see the end tip perfectly under microscopic magnification . This end is suitable for MTA plugs or gutta-percha compaction at the middle or coronal third . While the 2nd end which is the grey end has a straight plugger with very fine and small size round end that allow us to reach to the deepest part inside the canal to perform the apical third compaction during the warm vertical obturation techniques .
Conclusions
I found it very useful for deep split cases when we need to reach to compact at the level of the splitting .
