Apical Microsurgery Masterclass

A comprehensive hands-on training to improve clinical success through modern technologies

Course description

This three-day course provides clinicians with a comprehensive and structured training in
endodontic microsurgery, aiming to enhance the success rate of endodontic treatments through the
integration of current technologies and refined surgical protocols.
The course is designed to combine theoretical knowledge, clinical observation, and practical
exercises on surgical models. Participants will learn how to appropriately select cases, plan
procedures with advanced diagnostic tools, and perform microsurgical techniques using ultrasonic
instruments, magnification systems, and contemporary biocompatible materials.

Learning Objectives

• Understand when to opt for surgical vs non-surgical retreatment, based on clinical and
economic factors.
• Learn the indications, contraindications, and biological principles of endodontic
microsurgery.
• Master flap design, osteotomy, apical resection, retro-preparation, and root-end filling.
• Familiarize with modern surgical devices, bioceramic materials, and the role of CBCT
imaging.
• Refine technical skills through live surgery demonstrations and hands-on practice on
surgical models.
